My son has been to see Dr. Sara three times now, and although he's still a bit apprehensive about going to the dentist, I can see that it's getting a little better each time. The office:  Clean and bright - I'm usually a bit wary letting my son dig into toys at doctor offices because they never look super clean, but North Star has a couple of Green Toys trucks (not a ton of toys just scattered all around), some cute books and coloring pages.  Everything is neat and in its place, without looking sterile.  There's a "secret" nook in the back of the office that my son loves to sit in as we wait to be called. The set-up:  Once you're called in, the checkup area is just as fun.  I love how it's not compartmentalized - there's 3 patient chairs right next to each other. I think this helps my son to see other kids getting their teeth clean and that it's not scary.  They had Paw Patrol playing above the cleaning chair, which helped distract him.  And the balloon and toy vending machine is a fun "prize" for him after the cleaning is completed. The staff:  everyone we've had the pleasure of interacting with has been amazing.  The staff is what makes this office so special.  Front desk, dental hygienists and Dr Sara - all are friendly, easy to talk to and PATIENT!  You can absolutely tell they all love working there.
