I knew I was in the right place though when the dentist sang to my daughter during the exam lol. Only con would be their process for payments is inconvenient as they have no online payment option. Our daughter is always relaxed during Dr Sara's dental visit. Last year, during testing times, she had a toothache, of apparently unknown cause.

Dr Sara went miles beyond what is usually expected of a dentist. It was a bit urgent and she went out of the way and saw my daughter while taking full precautions against COVID-19! Found the problem and remedied it. Unforgettable experience!

I there was an award for the most considerate and professional dentist, it would go to Dr Sara and her rock star team, hands down!

We came to North Star out of an abundance of recommendations on a local parenting community group on Facebook. I pretty much knew my 2yo would not enjoy the experience (he's a strong willed kid), but I wanted to go somewhere with him where they'd be well prepared.

First off, the front desk staff was super friendly as soon as we walked in. My son bee-lined it for their play area while I was filling out patient intake paperwork. The office was bright, clean, and super kid friendly.

We didn't have to wait long to be taken back by hygienist Rebeca. She was so sweet with my son who was making strange big time. She tried showing him some of her "tools", to which he had no interest in... but my point being, Rebeca was patient and understanding.

Dr. Sara is super friendly, and understood my son being scared. In terms of her time with him it was quick but efficient. I had to hold his arms down whie she checked out his teeth, and she was both through and quick!

So grateful to the community for the recommendation. While I fully expect my son to make strange again (that's just the kind of kid he is ‍), it's reassuring to know we have a dentist and office who knows what to expect!

My son has been to see Dr. Sara three times now, and although he's still a bit apprehensive about going to the dentist, I can see that it's getting a little better each time.

The office:  Clean and bright - I'm usually a bit wary letting my son dig into toys at doctor offices because they never look super clean, but North Star has a couple of Green Toys trucks (not a ton of toys just scattered all around), some cute books and coloring pages.  Everything is neat and in its place, without looking sterile.  There's a "secret" nook in the back of the office that my son loves to sit in as we wait to be called.

The set-up:  Once you're called in, the checkup area is just as fun.  I love how it's not compartmentalized - there's 3 patient chairs right next to each other. I think this helps my son to see other kids getting their teeth clean and that it's not scary.  They had Paw Patrol playing above the cleaning chair, which helped distract him.  And the balloon and toy vending machine is a fun "prize" for him after the cleaning is completed.

The staff:  everyone we've had the pleasure of interacting with has been amazing.  The staff is what makes this office so special.  Front desk, dental hygienists and Dr Sara - all are friendly, easy to talk to and PATIENT!  You can absolutely tell they all love working there.

When we moved to the Everett area we were having a difficult time finding a pediatric dentist that we love. For a little bit we had the kids going to our family dentist. They were great, but I really love the kid friendly experiences you get from a pediatric dental office. It is also really comforting to know that they have more experience with children and child related issues. After looking through many reviews, I finally came across North Star and was won over by all the amazing reviews.

My youngest daughter had her first appointment with them recently. She is seven years old and never really had any issues with prior dental appointments. The building was easy to find and they have a parking lot so parking was also a breeze.

The waiting area is very kid friendly! It is very inviting and clean. There is a smaller waiting area for children just beside the main waiting area. Plenty of toys, books and TVs to keep them occupied until their appointment.

The staff was very friendly. Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist herself were very nice, explained everything fully and made sure that we were comfortable during our time there. When we were called back the whiteboard in the room welcomed my daughter by name. It was a nice little addition to an already amazing experience.

Everyone who worked on her teeth took the time to really explain what they were doing and made sure she was comfortable before going forward. The dentist took the time to really explain what she was seeing and answered all my questions in full. During the cleaning they had a movie up for her on the ceiling to keep her distracted.

When we left she got to take home a little prize and a balloon. She never really had an opinion on dental appointments before. She never really hated or loved them, but as we were leaving she actually said "that was really fun". I absolutely loved them and have now switched all my kids over to North Star.

UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE!! My sweet boy had to have some serious dental work done and Dr. Sara was amazing- she was very encouraging with my search for second opinions (she was correct on all fronts) and the few times I backed out because of anxiety. He needed General Anesthesia, which was terrifying to me and I didn't sleep a wink before his appointment. I walked in this morning to a giant hug from Dr. Sara and her warm, confident and calming manner set me at ease. Her way with kids is unbelievable- I was very nervous how my son would react when he had to go back alone, she immediately started a conversation with him about parachutes and he never noticed my absence! She had someone giving me updates every 5-10 mins so I wouldn't be nervous which was greatly appreciated. I was confident in her abilities but the comfort my son and I received was beyond anything I expected. I will forever be grateful to her and her team for making an awful situation so much more bearable! Your child is in AMAZING hands with Dr. Sara!

Amazing office for kids! Took my three kiddos in for their routine dental visits, and I was impressed at every level. The office is so inviting, and so is the front office staff! We were greeted so warmly upon arriving, and the check in process was super smooth. When the kids were taken back for their visits, the assistants cleaning their teeth took their time, and were so gentle. We also LOVE the "learning lab" where the kids could visualize how much sugar is in those drinks that I never let them have! 😉 Dr. Sara was so kind, and answered all of my questions. Super great dentist for kids. Loved her and my 4yr old daughter loced her too. She wa sso ecited to go to her first visit to the dentist and they made her feel so so welcoming and comfortable. We brought our twins in for a lip and tongue tie evaluation. We were consulted, given options, and operated on same day. So pleased with this office. From the front desk team, the back team, and the doctor. Amazing! I love their nautical theme and open exam area. They even have a learning lab area for kids to learn proper dental hygiene on a fun environment. Plus you can fill out all your registration forms online instead of in office. We will be coming here for many years to come!

We took our daughter here for her one-year appointment. WOW! I was so pleased to see how committed this office is in ensuring the comfort of the littlest ones!! They have an open-concept exam area that are free of walls and includes a little play area for kiddos to relax in when parents are talking to technicians. I appreciated the time that the technicians and doctor took to explain to use different things we didn't know and to answer any questions we had. Definitely recommend this dentistry to all!

I highly recommend Sara Silvestri if you are looking into tongue tie/lip tie revision for your infant or toddler. My son was born with a tongue tie, and two pediatricians and two lactation consultants didn't catch it. Finally I advocated for my son and saw a ENT in Portland because I wanted to protect my breastfeeding relationship, even though I had a large supply. I go my son's lip/tongue tie revised in Portland at 2 months who did a great job, but I did't keep up with the exercises to the full extend so the tongue reattached. I agonized over getting my baby's tongue done again, but after seeing a really good lactation consultant in Seattle, and a Crainiosacral therapist they recommended I do it again (and they are not invasive procedure leaning at all). So I was recommended Sara Silvestri. I went in when my son was 4 months. Had the evaluation and procedure done in the same visit. The procedure was like 5 minutes maybe. He cried from being held down, but not from the procedure itself. He nursed right after the procedure, and was totally fine! The streches to follow up are hard (because baby is like what are you doing in my mouth!) but worth it! She was amazing, and such a kid friendly office for my busy 3 year old to come along. She gave me peace of mind, and shared her personal experience and showed me empathy. Didn't pressure me to make a decision if I didn't want to. That was key for me - hearing from the medical professional trained in tongue ties who had a family member with a tongue tie. This gave me the confidence I was doing the right thing. My son now has less gas, spit up, and is a better latcher. I'm sure his speech and ability to eat solids has improved since having the procedure. Would highly recommend seeing Sara if you are on the fence, or looking for someone to see your baby for tongue/tie lip tie laser revision (frenotomy/frenectomy). I'm sure regular dental visits would be great too.

The special bond that I get to share with my son through breastfeeding is thanks to Dr Sara. His tongue and lip release changed our lives completely!! As a new mom you're told that nursing is going to be this beautiful bonding experience..but it wasn't for us because he had a lip and tongue tie. After the release he latched 100% better, I was no longer in physical and emotional pain, I didn't have to pump like a mad woman but most importantly I get this incredible bond with my son. I will never forget that big hug I received from Dr Sara when I came in to the office in tears. I wish I could give her a million star review for making it possible for me to nurse my baby! I don't leave many reviews but this place is wonderful! The office staff is welcoming and the office decor is cute and everything feels clean and new. The dental staff is friendly and fun. They do such a fabulous job with kids that my dentist-shy 4yo didn't want to leave when we were done! Both my kids can have their cleanings at the same time and there's even a small corner-type play area inside the clinic so if one finishes first the other can play while you are able to keep an eye on kiddo still in the chair. My only complaint is that they don't take adults!

Took my toddler here for his first dentist appointment and they were absolutely wonderful with him.  They didn't rush him into anything and didn't force anything on him that he seemed nervous to do. He didn't want to sit in the chair at all, and I was expecting to need to force him into it but they had an alternative option of letting him sit in my lap and it worked really well.  They let him hold and look at the tools and I think that helped ease his mind a lot.  The whole office seemed super exciting for him and all he wanted to do was play with all their toys, so I think that will be a good motivator for him to want to go back. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful with all my questions and concerns and I felt very comfortable around them all with my son. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends with kiddos!

Wow, this place is TOP NOTCH! I had so much anxiety about taking my son to his first dentist appointment. He is in a screaming phase at the moment, and the very definition of "terrible two,"but they were complete pros and we were in and out in under 40 minutes!

First off, I reeeeeally appreciate offices that provide online forms. Filling out a stack of paperwork while minding my toddler is a tall order, so being able to fill out the forms at a convenient time and place is a lifesaver!

Second, the waiting room with the play room was amazing! Sadly (and gladly) we didn't get to play long, as we were called in right away by a friendly assistant named McKenna. She was wonderful with my son, who was bouncing around the office like a pinball. She talked me through what the visit would entail, and was just really very pleasant.

Dr. Sara is the BEST! She was super friendly, understanding, and non-judgmental about the realities of toddlers and dental hygiene. I did not expect for one second that my 2 year old would tolerate a stranger poking around his mouth, but she got in there brushed, flossed, and varnished his teeth at lightning speed. Also, The TV mounted on the ceiling playing cartoons is expert level!

So glad we chose this office for our son's dental care!

This place is amazing! First of all the office is so beautiful and welcoming. You walk in and feel like you want to stay and hang out. Dr: Silvestri and the staff are so wonderful and made my three kids feel so comfortable. I loved that as a parent I could sit comfortably in the room and be able to watch both of my daughters get their teeth cleaned at the same time. I just had the least stressful experience I've ever had taking my son in public at his first visit at North Star. The whole place is designed for kids, there are fun toys while you wait and the back is just amazing. More toys, stuffed animals on the dental chairs and movies on the ceiling for kids to watch while they are in the chairs with their colored headphones and sunglasses. Dr. Sara and her assistants were so sweet and patient with him he felt comfortable right away. While Dr. Sara talked to me about his dental care her assistant took care of my son and got him a balloon and animal flossers and let him pick a brush. Normally he would have ran away while I tried to pay attention!
I also love that this is an all female office. The whole staff clearly love their jobs and are great at it. I'm so happy I came here instead of my normal Dentist - night and day difference. Also, according to my normal dentist, they would have sent kids to a pediatric dentistry anyways if they have a cavity because they specialize in kids. LOVE this place!

Both my children, toddlers, have seen Dr. Sara and the experience has been amazing each time (5 visits now and it is still great).

What to expect?
The waiting area/ lobby is fun, decorated with a seasonal theme, there is coffee for mom, TV is on kids channel but muted, toys are easy to reach and clean. They have another area further down the hall just for kids with Melissa and Doug puzzle boards.

The hygienist greets you and your kid by name, and address the kid because it is their appointment. They get to play in yet another neat area while the hygienist gets info from you, then Dr. Sara comes to talk to you while kids play. They make the actual teeth examining and cleaning as easy/efficient as possible.

After kids get their teeth thoroughly brushed, and examined, in under 10 minutes, they are given balloons immediately. Positive feedback had my kids smiling and not minding the invasive moment their teeth just had.

I have recommended this place to several moms, and they agree. It is truly a great pediatric dentistry office.

I could not be happier with Dr. Sara and all of her staff. They are great with my daughter, who had her first appointment at 11 months. We never stress about her regular check ups. Dr. Sara also clipped her lip tie, and it was a great experience. She was in and out for the procedure in under 5 minutes, and didn't seem to be phased at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Sara for routine care and for lip/tongue tie procedures.

We have had three visits to North Star Pediatric Dentistry since my daughter was about 11 months old. My daughter is now almost 2 years old and enjoys going see Dr. Sara and the North Star staff. I have had to cancel and reschedule nearly all of our appointments, and Emily has always been understanding and helpful in getting us an appointment to work with our ever-changing schedule. The office is warm and inviting and a perfect environment for children of all ages. Everyone I have interacted with there is friendly and kind. On top of it all, Dr. Sara is an excellent dentist - she is patient, makes my daughter feel at ease, and includes my daughter in the dental exams as much as possible. This place is amazing! First of all the office is so beautiful and welcoming. You walk in and feel like you want to stay and hang out. Dr: Silvestri and the staff is so wonderful and made my three kids feel so comfortable. I loved that as a parent I could sit comfortably in the lroom and be able to watch both of my daughters get their teeth cleaned at the same time. We love Dr. Sarah, Emily and the whole staff. They were so great with our 14 month old son Austin. I love that there are plenty of fun toys and distractions for kids. He even got a balloon which he loved! I don't even think my son knew he was at a dentist. He recently had to have a lip tie lasered, which was a bit nerve wracking for my husband and I. We love, love looooooooooooooooove EVERYONE at North Star Pediatric Dentistry!   My 2.5 year old daughter has been there 3 times so far, and they have all been great with her, despite one of those times consisting of a toddler meltdown for the entire visit.    We plan on bringing our son here once he has teeth, too 🙂

First of all, the office is convenient to get to with ample parking, and the lobby is super cute and clean with a nautical theme, toys, books, etc.  Reception is quick and easy.  Inside, you find a clean and bright space that is very kid friendly with TVs on the ceiling that play cartoons, "science projects" that show what sugar does to your teeth, kid-friendly flavors of tooth polish, and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff.  You really get the feeling of being part of a family when you are here.  Dr. Sara and her staff remember things that you told them six months ago!  Ann Marie is sweet and patient while cleaning the little chompers, and Dr. Sara takes time to answer questions and educate us on the latest and greatest.   They take an interest in our whole family like we are real people, not just patients who come and go.  I honestly can't say enough great things about the whole experience so far.

We feel so fortunate to have found this office, and we look forward to coming here for years to come.   Thank you for all that you do, Dr. Sara and staff!  You guys are the BEST!

So impressed with North Star Pediatric Dentistry! The office was clean, bright, modern and VERY kid friendly. The staff was beyond amazing with my 4 and 2.5 year old kiddos. Dr. Sara and her staff are amazing! We had previously had a not-so-great experience at another pediatric dentist so I am always a bit critical and skeptical but Dr. Sara, her staff and her office blew us away! The office is clean, inviting and easy to get to. It's modern and has plenty of play spaces for kids which makes the visit so "fun" for them - it didn't feel like like the old school dentist visit at all. Dr. Sara and her assistant greeted us, shook our hands (very important to me!), explained how the visit would go, and brought us back to the awesome dental area. The assistant was so patient with my daughter, let her play a little and get used to the office and then was very efficient in getting done what she needed (looking in her mouth, charting, cleaning, etc). Dr. Sara answered all of my questions and went over lots of important childhood dental information that I hadn't even thought of. She even addressed my concerns about my daughter being a preemie, which was so helpful. My daughter got a balloon, a prize for wearing her Halloween costume and left the office so happy! The prize was even something that supports a local Mill Creek business. We have already made our next appointment and are excited to go back. Tonight while brushing her teeth my daughter said "Like Dr. Sara told me?" and I almost fell over!!! What an amazing experience! I highly recommend Dr. Sara and North Star!!

I took my boys here today. What a great experience. I wish I had a dentist like Dr. Sarah when I was a kid! I cannot recommend this practice enough. Amazing dentist and assistants, and a super friendly, warm, and entertaining-for-the-kids office.

Dr. Sara is a complete doll and her entire team are incredible. They make you feel like you are the only clients they have and sometimes you are the only one in the office, which is super nice. We just moved to the area and I knew we needed a good pediatric dentist for my kiddo. He has a history of cavities and we needed someone that would give us a good plan but also be encouraging. Before even going into North Star I read all of the reviews and carefully looked at the pictures of the office to make sure my son felt at home. As soon as we walked in today, he zoomed off for the toys and was very happy. The exam rooms are so welcoming and child-oriented, and the staff truly love kids. My boy is very active and has a hard time sitting still, and they were so accepting and encouraged him to play around and explore the dental equipment. I can't say enough good things about North Star Pediatric Dentistry in Mill Creek. What could have been a terrifying experience for our 4 year old daughter Hayden, turned into a happy joyful one. Hayden is legally blind due to a genetic disorder called Albinism. She can see, but not well at all. She uses a cane and is learning Braille. She is terrified of any dentist. Before the appointment they called to ask about Hayden's condition, what things make her comfortable and how they could prepare for her (this is when I knew they were amazing. This has never happened in a healthcare facility for us yet) I of course thought "oh they are just asking that to be sweet, they'll forget".
We walked in today and the lights were all dimmed and blinds closed (she's very sensitive to light) Emily greeted us with a huge smile and told Hayden she got the playroom all ready for her by closing the blinds. While she played I filled out some forms and then went to join her. Jessica the hygienist came and met Hayden in the play area. And said"hi Hayden! My name is Jessica! And I'm wearing blue today!" Because she has a hard time seeing facial features she mostly identifies people by what they are wearing. I couldn't believe they actually remembered this. Hayden happily finished her coloring and we went to the back. The office is beautiful. The lights were off and blinds closed. Jessica sat on the floor with us while we chatted and played with Hayden to make her feel comfortable. Dr. Sara came in and chatted with me about Hayden, her condition and my concerns. She introduced herself to Hayden "hi Hayden!! It's Dr. Sara! I'm wearing dark blue today!" The entire appointment both Jessica and Dr. Sara had Hayden FEEL everything with her hands so she wasn't surprised when it was in her mouth. This was important as touch is such an important part of Haydens life. We've never been able to get her to show her teeth to a dentist and they made her feel so comfortable that she not only handled the exam beautifully, she did full mouth X-rays. Dr. Sara is a total sweetheart. Hayden was scared of the chair, so Dr. Sara sat on the play area rug criss cross. And had Hayden lay her head in her lap. She did the entire exam/cleaning there. On the floor. Using a flashlight to see inside of her mouth instead of the bright overhead lighting. I was completely blown away. We've never received this level of care at any healthcare facility. Hayden woke up this morning and asked if we were going to go back and see Dr. Sara and Jessica today. I'm so relieved. As a special needs mom, having a place to go, that you trust and that your child trusts is a huge blessing and priceless. They turned a scary, not so fun thing for my daughter into a fun, interactive, caring experience. I burst into tears when we got in the car because I was so relieved. Hayden has to have some pretty intense work done in her mouth, I'll review that process when we are done with it, but I'm positive it will be all good things. Thank you Dr. Sara & team. You blessed us more than you know.

Honestly, I haven't seen customer service like this in years!! From phone calls (with Emily) to the in office visit every staff member brightened our day. My 4 year old daughter had her teeth cleaned and had to have x-rays. My 18 month old chipped fell and chipped his front tooth and a friend recommended we go to Northstar to see Dr. Sara. Our experience was wonderful from the moment I got on the phone with the receptionist (I wish I remembered her name!). She was so articulate and warm on the phone, and I felt listened to and valued. I called first thing in the morning and we were able to get him an appointment the same day. When we arrived they had a balloon for him already blown up and the waiting area was clean and had plenty of toys to keep kiddos busy. It hardly felt like a dentist office at all. Both the receptionist and Dr. Sara introduced themselves to my little guy and were so friendly to him. They clearly know how to work with little ones. When we went back to the exam room, it was welcoming with bright colors and windows. Dr. Sara was great as she examined his mouth and made part of it into a game, but was at the same time very thorough. My son hardly made a fuss. Dr. Sara took her time explaining our course of action with his teeth and calmed any fears that I had. You can tell that she is very well educated and trained. On our way out they handed us a little bag with some tooth care goodies in it, made a follow up appointment and sent us on our way. As a Mom, it meant so much to me that my sons first experience at the dentist was positive. I can certainly say that of Dr. Sara and her team. 5 stars all the way!

My two year old had her first appointment at North Star today! What an amazing experience! Emily at the the front desk is so nice and helpful and Jessica and Dr. Sara were so good with my little. Highly recommend this dentist! Very kid friendly, cheerful and bright office. Has a great toy room. Very sweet staff, Dr. Sara was awesome, sweet and informative. My kids loved it. They love watching movies during their cleanings, and I enjoyed a cup of coffee!

I just took my two year old here for extensive work. He had 8 cavities (I feel terrible about this) and had to go under general anesthesia. Dr. Sara was so sweet. She called me ahead of time and chatted over the phone with me to answer any questions. She also spent a lot of time with us before the procedure and after the procedure. Her receptionist/assistant Emily was really helpful too. She kept me updated during the procedure, letting me know what was going on back in the operating room. The dental anesthesiologist, Dr. Hanna Kim (Smile Anesthesia) was phenomenal as well. They treated me and my son like family and it was just what I needed to ease my nerves of putting him under general anesthesia. The facility is brand spanking new and beautiful. Lots of books and toys for kids to play with. After the procedure, they gave my son a popsicle and a gift bag. He loved both. My son is doing great, almost like nothing happened at all. Dr. Hanna Kim even called me a couple hours later just to check in. I can't believe the red carpet treatment I have received from this place. Also, this is the second pediatric dentist office that I took my son to. I took him to another place last week, not going to name the place b/c they were fine too, but I ended up at Dr. Sara's under recommendation of a friend. Dr. Sara's treatment plan was a lot more conservative than the other dentist (the other dentist planned on pulling four teeth, and Dr. Sara only pulled 2) and the out of pocket came out to a fraction of what it was going to cost at the other place. Also, Dr. Sara does not use any mercury in any of her fillings or other materials.
This place is a parent's dream!

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! Staff is amazing and helpful, both front desk and back office! Dr. Sara is very thorough when explaining treatment plans and options. The facility is brand new, clean and beautiful but we all know that means nothing without great customer service and patient care. I would recommend this dentist to any parent! My 3 year old can be a little anxious and a bit of a handful and they were so helpful and comforting during her appointments. It is always nice to see people that work with pediatrics that really seem to have a passion for kids. 🙂
